Scotty and Ester (Ish-tay) Moore met through a series of God-ordained events. Their relationship had always centered around their work with CRU, but all that changed when Scotty received a prophetic word and began to feel led to run for Congress to represent District 9 in Florida. After praying and seeking Godly counsel, the couple agreed to walk together in obedience to God’s call on their lives. So many believers feel called to full-time ministry, so they think they should quit their jobs and go to work in a church or Christian non-profit. But that’s simply not what Scripture teaches us about ministry and missions! Each one of us has a unique set of gifts, talents, and abilities. These gifts were meant to be used not only to provide for us, but also to give us access to unbelievers in the workplace – the kind that will never set foot in a church. Today, we head down under to talk with Annemarie Cross from Podcasting with a Purpose. She has taken her love for communication and her expertise in podcasting and used it to create a platform that helps equip followers of Jesus to go out and make a difference for Christ!

Annemarie Cross was adopted into a family that lived their lives so on mission that she never had to learn how to do that in her work, it was natural. Today, she gets to help others learn how to communicate their branding and message through the medium of podcasting. Her perspective that we are ambassadors for Christ is timely, to say the least, as Australia is dealing with increased restrictions and issues around freedom of speech. The other day I got an email from iWork4Him Friend Mike Sharrow, CEO of C12Group.com. He writes…On the topic of voting, one of the powerful areas is to encourage co-workers or teams to vote.  MANY are not even registered or ever equipped to vote.  We helped our friends at MyFaithVotes.org create a new platform called www.OurWorkplaceVotes.org which has tons of resources for employers, and then an employee web tool MyVoteWorks.com that helps folks register, find out when/where, etc.  would be a perfect resource to reference on the program.  We had a C12 Member, find out MOST of her employees had NEVER voted.  So she made it a ministry focus this summer to educate her team, equip them with resources, make a “let’s vote day,” and has a goal of helping her 200+ employees be part of shaping government for the first time rather than just complaining about it or experiencing the effects of it.

I found this story so compelling because it connects faith work and country all into one, so we invited Rachelle Reigard, President of Grade A Construction on the show to tell her story and Chris Sadler from the board of Directors for My Faith Votes dot org to fill in the blanks about how you can get this going at your workplace.
