You have a lifetime of work experience, wisdom, and knowledge that the next generation needs and wants. As Christ followers, we are to keep running the race:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. ”
There’s a new movement afoot, and it follows right alongside the faith and work movement. We work to glorify God. So, how about retiring to glorify God, too?
God doesn't give us years of experience and acquired wisdom just to put us “out to pasture.” Our God wants all of this to be put to good use to build the Kingdom.
Our retirement years can be a new chapter, with an open agenda to "work" for Him (if you will seek His will for it). Be encouraged to live out your faith in your retirement and pour into the next generations.
