As A Jesus-Follower How Should We Feel About The Voting Process?
10-23-20 - New Podcast Episode Alert.png

We are about 10 days from the election. Tensions are high, no matter who you are and who you are going to vote for.  As a Jesus-follower how should we feel about the voting process? What should shape our thinking and really, how does this impact us as we follow Jesus in our work.  How can we bring peace and healing in an environment that is so toxic and hurtful.  Tony Dale joins us today with his unique perspective. Tony Grew up a citizen of the British empire but on the mission field in Asia. He immigrated to the United States in the 80’s so this isn’t his first voting rodeo. Lets here what Tony has so say about Christians in the voting process.

Helping Employees Be Part Of Shaping Government
09-28-20 Podcast Image 180 x 180.png

The other day I got an email from iWork4Him Friend Mike Sharrow, CEO of C12Group.com. He writes…On the topic of voting, one of the powerful areas is to encourage co-workers or teams to vote.  MANY are not even registered or ever equipped to vote.  We helped our friends at MyFaithVotes.org create a new platform called www.OurWorkplaceVotes.org which has tons of resources for employers, and then an employee web tool MyVoteWorks.com that helps folks register, find out when/where, etc.  would be a perfect resource to reference on the program.  We had a C12 Member, find out MOST of her employees had NEVER voted.  So she made it a ministry focus this summer to educate her team, equip them with resources, make a “let’s vote day,” and has a goal of helping her 200+ employees be part of shaping government for the first time rather than just complaining about it or experiencing the effects of it.

I found this story so compelling because it connects faith work and country all into one, so we invited Rachelle Reigard, President of Grade A Construction on the show to tell her story and Chris Sadler from the board of Directors for My Faith Votes dot org to fill in the blanks about how you can get this going at your workplace.

Health Care Issues In The Coming Election
09-24-20 Canva Podcast Image NEW1.png

We think elections don’t have significance but here’s one for you. The workplace of the 4 walls church is under attack in Washington state. In Washington state the legislature there decided that every workplace which provides health insurance has to pay for abortion surgery – the killing of a young life. A church in Seattle is fighting this now in the 9th district court of appeals. Abortion should be ended in this country not forced to be paid for by the very people fighting for the lives of children.  Tony Dale with Sedera Health is with us today to talk about health care issues that he sees coming up in the November 3rd election and its impact on you and your workplace. More reason to get out the Christian vote this fall. We need to stop the 50 year genocide of our children. No wonder our country is tearing apart at the seams.

Being Active In Our Political System
09-14-20 Canva Podcast Image NEW1.png

Did you know that many out there listening are called to be active in our political system. Politics is not just evil – it is neutral – it depends on who is the politician in order to tell whether it is leaning evil or towards good. But I digress. Today we head into the deep south eastern United States of America to talk with AJ Swinson. She felt the call on her life to be active in the political arena and in bringing truth to her African American brothers and sisters. Stay tuned to hear about how AJ is living out her faith in her work in the political arena.

It’s been almost 6 months since Covid-19 invaded our world. It alone has shifted the paradigm for every citizen of the United States of America. Small Church Explosion
08-11-20 Canva Podcast Image.png

It’s been 4 months now. Across the country, church buildings have been closed and even when limited gatherings have been allowed, singing has been forbidden. In Nevada, it is okay to have the casino open, but churches remain closed. Is this the work of the enemy or has it been allowed by an almighty God? This same God that allowed the death of Stephen to scatter his church across the Roman Empire. This same God may have allowed this virus and restrictions to scatter the church across communities for them to see the significance of their ministry in their own neighborhood. Across the country Christians have been set loose to do the ministry that Jesus called them too almost 2000 years ago. In essence, small is big and we are unleashing the power of intentionally small churches because that is what the law will allow. You may be asking what does this have to do with iWork4Him, EVERYTHING.  The body of Christ has already been scattered across workplaces in America for centuries, it is only now that we are realizing the significance of this scattering. We are all called to our work and our homes to be a light to fight the darkness. We’re talking with Tony and Felicity Dale, experts in the small church movement who have seen it transform London in the 70’s and 80’s and are hoping this explosion of small churches in America will transform our great country.

It's Not Either/Or It's AND

Is your workplace a safe place? A place where all are treated equal? A place where a human being regardless of their looks, gets treated as an image bearer of God? Is your workplace known for justice or injustice? Do certain customers get better treatment than others?  Social justice can be highjacked by the media or filled with truth and bring peace to a nation which results in redemptive justice. Are you someone that fights for justice or looks the other way because it doesn’t impact you?  Christ Followers need to be leaders in bringing healing in this nation. We’re talking with Kathy Branzell with Love2020.com and President of the National Day of Prayer Task Force along with special guest, Justin Giboney, committed to bringing justice and healing to our culture.

Understanding The Power Of God’s Word
05-15-20 Canva Podcast Image.png

Today we are talking to David Collum, President of the Pocket Testament League, and Mollie Yoder, Director of Member Relations.

The Pocket Testament League has been equipping Christ-followers to read, carry, and share the Gospel of John since 1893. Today, David and Mollie talk with us about the unique challenges that PTL faces in 2020 and beyond – among them the COVID-19 pandemic and an increasingly digital society.

The Pocket Testament League's biggest challenge – digital or analog – is getting people to understand the incredible power of God's Word. When we, as believers, invite someone to read the Gospel, it isn't our job to change their hearts or minds; it's the Holy Spirit's. God's word is living and active, and when someone reads it, they can't walk away un-impacted.

In the past, the PTL has primarily disseminated the Gospel of John through printed copies that go out to their members. These individuals then carry the Gospel with them, pray about who to give them to, and then share them.  Obviously, with COVID-19, physical handing out printed copies of the Gospel of John is no longer accessible, so the PTL tapped into its global web presence and developed the 3-2-1 Plan.

The 3-2-1 Plan allows people to continue to share the Gospel during social distancing through three simple ways: 1) an email reading plan from PTL, 2) a video series where the Word of God is read, discussed, and a question is asked, and 3) a daily texted bible verse and question.

If you are interested in Pocket Testament League’s simple 3-2-1 Plan for sharing the Gospel with your coworkers, family, friends, or neighbors, check out their website at PTL.org
