It’s the week before Christmas, and all through the house (aka workplace, school zone, and living space), everyone is going stir crazy because they are stuck in that HOUSE together. Yep, I’m sure we can all relate to the shared space dilemma.

Have you been planning for gift giving this year, or has it snuck up on you? Do you prepare gifts for the people who help make you successful? Allow me to make 3 last-minute suggestions to give your employees this Christmas. Everyone loves to get personalized gifts, but the gifts I suggest will last all year long.

Who makes the most impact in the workplace? Is it the management? The Business Owner? Or someone else? Have you ever considered that YOU may have the most impact to create a flourishing environment at your work? It just takes a little appreciation know-how.

If you run a business, and are a Jesus Follower, you are the lead minister in your business. You have the opportunity to turn your company into a for-profit ministry. Yes, you should make money and do it with excellence, but you are also there to minister to the people that God places in your path each and every day, including your employees, customers, vendors, city officials, stockholders, etc. Our country needs more for-profit businesses that understand that they are actually a For-Profit ministry.

It is not insignificant that Jesus was born to a family who had a small business. Carpentry. God could have put Jesus in any number of families but He chose one where the primary source of income to support the family was the small family business. You might find yourself asking why?

It used to be that absenteeism was a problem in the workplace. But today, it’s the opposite: It’s called “Presenteeism”. A company’s leadership cannot spend all day ministering to their employees; So, what’s the answer?

What if today, we worked as if the living God and His wisdom were inside us? Would we be doing different work? In a different way? Would we think higher, grander thoughts? Would we expect and GET bigger results?

You have the awesome responsibility of reaching the eternal souls and changing the eternal futures of 98,000,000 workers. NINETY-EIGHT MILLION souls.  What other church leader has such a big flock? 

What sorts of wisdom can be culled from the Junkyard? If you’re Roy Goble, it’s definitely more treasure than trash. We learned a special lesson when chatting with him the other day, and he helped shift our business mindset for the better.

We often define a kingdom company by how much money is given away or how many ministry projects are completed. A Kingdom company is focused on the priorities of God and bringing that influence into the marketplace through excellent work and a consistent godly reputation.
