iRetire4Him Show #59 - #1 of 4-part series: A Fruitful Retirement Book
#1 of a 4-part series. Christians are called to ministry for a lifetime. Impacting and changing lives is more than a priority; it is God’s mandate to each of us. This mandate, the call on our lives, has two parts. First, the common call for all believers to minister, impact others and help to change lives. Then, our unique call is based on our unique set of gifts, talents, and abilities. But how do these two callings play out in our retirement? Retirement is not only a reward for past service but also a steppingstone, a launching pad for future ministry -- future fully funded ministry. Bruce Bruinsma, the Founder of the Retirement Reformation, just released his latest book in the future funded ministry series, A Fruitful Retirement: The result of a future funded ministry plan. Bruce joins us today for part 1 of a 4-part series talking about how your retirement years can be fruitful!

iRetire4Him Show #58 - #4 of 4-part series: The iRetire4Him Book
Let’s face it, retirement, as laid out in the American dream, is just plain boring. How can anyone spend 30 years watching TV, building puzzles, playing golf, going shopping, and taking vacations? There’s got to be more to life. In the final show of this four-part series, Bruce Bruinsma and Jim Brangenberg talk about what it looks like when we go back to work as a retiree. This discussion is based on chapter 6 of the recently released book iRetire4Him: Unlock God’s Purpose for Your Retirement.

Perhaps the most underutilized talent in the kingdom of God is that of mentorship. So, what about you? Are you investing in anyone? Do you have anyone investing in you? In part three of this series, Bruce Bruinsma, the founder of the Retirement Reformation, and Jim Brangenberg talk about the power and the value of mentoring and what it looks like to put in the action. This discussion is based on chapters 4 & 5 of the recently released book iRetire4Him: Unlock God’s Purpose for Your Retirement.
#3 of a 4-part series. Perhaps the most underutilized talent in the kingdom of God is that of mentorship. I once heard a famous speaker say that everybody should have a Paul, a Timothy, and a Barnabas in their life. What does that mean? It meant everybody should have a mentor, everybody should have an encourager, and everybody should be mentoring somebody else. So, what about you? Are you investing in anyone? Do you have anyone investing in you? In part three of this series, Bruce Bruinsma, the founder of the Retirement Reformation, and Jim Brangenberg talk about the power and the value of mentoring and what it looks like to put in the action. #1 of a 4-part series. Romans 12:2 says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” When you put that in the perspective of retirement, it means a whole lot of rejecting what the world is dishing out. In today’s show Bruce Bruinsma, the founder of the Retirement Reformation, and Jim Brangenberg start a 4-part series talking about the recently released book iRetire4Him: Unlock God’s Purpose for Your Retirement. This book challenges the everyday retired believer to recognize the value they bring to the world and the upcoming generations. iRetire4Him Show #51 - #2 of 2-part series: The Impact of the Holidays and Other Year-End Stressors
It’s almost New Years and most of us are looking forward to new beginnings, resolutions, and a chance to start over – especially as we move another year away from the COVID-19 pandemic. But for some, the new year is a reminder that we are alone. As far as I remember there are not any psalms about the New Year but there are tons of scriptures referencing new beginnings and fond remembrances. So, how are you looking towards the new year? In today’s show we parse through this subject.
It’s almost New Years and most of us are looking forward to new beginnings, resolutions, and a chance to start over – especially as we move another year away from the COVID-19 pandemic. But for some, the new year is a reminder that we are alone. Similarly, while some of us may look back on 2021 with fondness, for many people this past year has been full of pain or sorrow.
Whether excitement or dread, the turn of the year brings up emotions in us. So, how does God want us to react? As far as I remember there are not any psalms about the New Year but there are tons of scriptures referencing new beginnings and fond remembrances. So, how are you looking towards the new year - is it with fondness, sadness or some mixed emotions? In today’s show we parse through this subject.
