Your intentionality to help the younger generation around the house will mean the world to them.   Do it together and watch your impact grow.  Your relationship with them grows deeper because you are investing in them.

Retirement isn’t the end of life – it is the putting into action part of life.  As a retiree, you can make a commitment to impact the next generations with the Love of Jesu– 1 relationship at a time.   

Mentoring is building relationships and sharing life.  Being a mentor is as simple as Loving God and Loving people.  If you love God, you will obey Him. If you love people, you will treat them as you wish to be treated.  

The assumption is that retirees are comfortable financially and mentally, have their health, have many friends and EVERYBODY is doing it.  Just because everyone is doing it, doesn’t make it right.

I find that my generation talks about retirement a lot.  Baby boomers are turning age 65 at a rate of around 10,000 people a day, selling their homes and moving into retirement communities often far away from family.  What is the issue with this?

Whether you call it retirement, refirement, or phase 2 of life, Christ Followers are called to more than sitting in the grandstands of life and living as spectators.  There is a part for you to play and it’s as important as any position you have ever faced before.  What did Jesus teach us to do?  

Work was provided by God to bring Glory to Him.  His plan included many duties but essentially He directed us to work.  Retirement, the way the world touts it, isn’t God’s desire for your life.  

God designed an hierarchy where Man has dominion over all that He created.  But Who holds each human accountable?  Accountability looks and feels different for every person that God has created.
