Redeeming Your Time

New Year’s is the time to make resolutions – and Jordan Raynor is the king of living out what he learns. Jordan’s new book, Redeeming Your Time: 7 Biblical Principles for Being Purposeful, Present, and Wildly Productive, is all about taking what he has learned in Scripture and applying it to daily life. This fantastic read is full of practical insights and wisdom – all based on Scripture. Join us as Jordan talks about cultivating a Gospel-centric approach to ambition and rest!

A few take-aways from today’s conversation:

  • Rest is productive

  • The Sabbath is essential and not a crutch

  • Redeeming his time has made Jordan more “present” in life

  • For Jordan, Principle #7 – Eliminate Hurry, has been a challenge worth addressing

  • Scripture is full of timeless principles for our everyday

Jordan and Mark Batterson have recorded a 7-part podcast called Redeem the Day that can be a great next step to this podcast and book.

God At Rest
04-09-20 Canva Podcast Image.png

We work all day, and then we drive to soccer practice or a church event or some other community thing. The reality is that we are usually busy and tired. Today, we’re talking with Rich Marshall, the host of “God at Work” on God.TV and author of the book by the same title about his latest book: “God at Rest.”

Rich spent years teaching everyday workers about taking their ministry into their Mondays, and now he is asking can we live a life with both work and rest? According to Rich, yes! Work isn’t the opposite of rest – it is a part of our designed purpose, meant to be experienced in partnership with rest. And ultimately, rest originates with God’s presence.

Tune in to learn more about incorporating rest into your workday through listening to God, partnering with the Holy Spirit, and intentionally inviting Jesus into your everyday tasks.

Rich Marshall is a Contributor to Chapter 18 of The iWork4Him Field Manual.
