#3 of 3-part series. Money is power... well, at the very least it’s influence. The retired generations of the United States have 70% of the purchasing power, which means we should also have most of the influence on the culture. But how do we learn to wield the wealth influence that’s at our fingertips? Join us in the 3rd part of this 3-part series dedicated to evaluating how culture impacts you and how you can impact the culture. As always, Bruce Bruinsma of the Retirement Reformation is here to join us
Money is power... well, at the very least it’s influence. The retired generations of the United States have 70% of the purchasing power, which means we should also have most of the influence on the culture. But how do we learn to wield the wealth influence that is at our fingertips, rather than leaving the next generation to deal with the world’s issues?
We know the power of Jesus and He is the one that has entrusted us as stewards of the wealth that we have. We can use that wealth to impact the culture and bring hope and healing and freedom through Jesus back to the forefront. Jesus is the only solution to the mess our culture is in. Can you imagine all these hurting people realizing the answer to their problems was only a church block away? Join us in the third part of this three-part series dedicated to evaluating how culture impacts you and how you can impact the culture. As always, Bruce Bruinsma of the Retirement Reformation is here to join us.

iRetire4Him Show #48 - #2 of 3-part series: The Cultural Impact of/on Retirees
#2 of 3-part series: Culture shapes the way we think. Most Christians in the United States are at least somewhat concerned with the direction that our culture has been moving. Tempers are running high, division is everywhere, and frustration and fear are the norm. Christianity is no longer the primary influencer of culture, the media is. How can we stop the madness? Can it even be stopped? Join us in the second part of this three-part series dedicated to evaluating how culture impacts you and how you can impact the culture.

Tempers are running high, division is everywhere, and frustration and fear are the norm. Christianity is no longer the primary influencer of culture, the media is. How can we stop the madness? Can it even be stopped? Today we talk about how our faith in Jesus can impact the nation we love, the towns we love, the church we love, and the people we love, as well as how the Church can bring back the hope and freedom that the Gospel first brought us all those years ago. Join us in the second part of this three-part series dedicated to evaluating how culture impacts you and how you can impact the culture. iRetire4Him Show #47 - #1 of 3-part series: The Cultural Impact of/on Retirees
#1 of 3-part series: Culture shapes the way we think. Back when you were thinking of retirement, you lived in a quiet neighborhood, had a couple of nice neighbors & life was good. Almost everyone lived like you & was shaped by biblical morality, now over 80% of the population doesn’t even go to church. Back then a million dollars was a lot, now the average house costs almost ½ that. LIFE HAS CHANGED How has all that impacted the way you view your retirement & your future? www.RetirementReformation.org
#1 of 3-part series: Culture shapes the way we think. Thirty, forty, or fifty years ago, when you were contemplating retirement, you likely lived in a quiet neighborhood with a couple of friendly neighbors that you talked to about sports, church, and family. Almost everyone around you lived just like you did and valued the same things that you did. And American society was still shaped by biblical values. Fast forward to today, and over 80% of the population doesn’t even go to church. Back when you started thinking about retirement, a million dollars was a lot of money, but now the average house in America costs almost ½ a million.
The reality is that LIFE HAS CHANGED – and we can’t help but be impacted by that change. So how has your view of your retirement and your future shifted over the course of the last few decades? The next three podcasts are dedicated to evaluating how culture impacts us and how we, in turn, can impact the culture for Christ.

iRetire4Him Show #41 - #5 of 11-part series The Culture and Retirement
The concept and reality of retirement in the US is a rare social construct. The ability and the assumed right to be non-productive and still retain full social status in society is an American thing. Work is a way of providing for life expenses and retirement. The American perspective is that leisure is the extended right that should be available for all and supported by society. Each person in uniquely responsible for managing their retirement years. While retirement is represented to be a time divorced from financial and social stress, it is in fact the most complex time of life and is reported to be “not for sissies”. For the Christian, it is an even more complex time and Christ followers are impacted by the culture and challenged by Jesus commands. Today we start a series exploring cultures impact on how we live in retirement compared to the Christian world view of living in retirement. We will be releasing this podcast series every other week. When we do, we will give you what you need to know and how we can respond as Christ followers who affirm a lifestyle of iRetire4Him. Here to work through the cultural impacts on retirement is Bruce Bruinsma with www.RetirementReformation.org
