Every step of the iWork4Him Nation Covenant is important, but today I want to talk to you about step three. Step three is the perfect tenet to execute during the summertime. Step three puts our money where our mouth is. It puts our faith into action outside of the office. Step three goes like this: “Look for ways to befriend your coworkers, employees, and bosses outside of work where you can develop a real relationship.” Step three is the place where you get to share your life, and in sharing your life, you are sharing God the giver of life.

The very term "LAY" minister implies that there are two tiers in ministry. This word derives negative feelings in me about a two tiered system of importance in the kingdom.

Where did we get the idea that we HAVE to quit our job in order to be in ministry? You do not need to quit a perfectly good job that uses your skills, pays the bills, and fills a need.

This is a great opportunity to plan a neighborhood or workplace BBQ for those you live/work alongside every day. Martha and I will be reaching out to neighbors in our new neighborhood. How about you - will you step out of your comfort zone?

Recently, we took some time to talk about our neighborhood mission field. Have you ever thought about it that way? How many of you know the four neighbors who live in front, behind, and on both sides of you?

The people that you work with, they need to meet Jesus and you may be their only chance. If we don't SHARE, our workplace mission field is just a field without a mission. God has you there on purpose, remember?

You are never going to argue someone into following Jesus. We just need to get our story down. How did you realize your need for Jesus? How hard was it to surrender to a Lord who was all loving…?

Apartments used to be close together with common space on the roof or a courtyard. Today, you can literally come and go in many apartment complexes and never see your neighbor. Churches across this country have regular attenders who live in rental housing but are they living with a missional mindset?

Martha and I love to see people to read the Bible for themselves. The book of John is a great way for people to get introduced to Jesus and to read for themselves who he really is. So what does all this have to do with Chocolate?

Jesus gave up His life for you and me, and even His enemies. What are you willing to give your life for?
