Yet too many Christian working women perceive their work in the marketplace as less valuable than those in ministry. Peggy Bodde wrestled with seeing the value of her work until God showed her what He had commissioned her to do was essential to the Kingdom of Heaven. Eight years ago, she took a step of faith and started her own business as a full-time writer for educational publishers, researching and writing textbooks.

As Proverbs 16:9 tells us, “We can make plans, but it’s the Lord who orders our steps.” When Shelley Simpson took her first position with J.B. Hunt Transportation as a Customer Service Representative, she thought it was a temporary assignment. She had no idea that this would be the company she would grow with or just how far that growth would take her. Today, Shelley is Chief Commercial Officer and EVP of People and HR for J.B. Hunt.
