8/6/25 - 2106: This One Truth Could Change Everything
Jim Brangenberg: Hey, welcome to a special edition of iWork4Him. Martha's taken the morning off as I record this, but it's really because I've got something that God laid on my heart that I wanna make sure that you hear today, and this is so significant 'cause I believe that if believers can grasp this concept I'm gonna talk about today, I believe we could change the culture of our workplaces, of our households, and of our country.
But before I start with what God's laid on my heart, I just wanna make sure I draw attention to three very significant sponsors. SaferNet for surfing the web, operating on the web, doing your work on the web. SaferNet.com will keep you safe. We use it every day at iWork4Him. SaferNet.com.
If you're in business, you need to join the US Christian Chamber. It is an incredible opportunity for you to be involved in the marketplace with other believers who want the same thing. They want to know, what does it mean to follow Jesus as I run my business?
And finally, if you're using a cell phone, do you know where your cell phone company's profits go? I do, 'cause we use Patriot Mobile. Go online to patriotmobile.com/iWork4Him and get signed up today. They get all the same towers, all the same service, but their profits go to support faith, family, and freedom.
Okay. The topic for today, just a simple sentence: as a believer, everything about you should be changing and everyone around you should be benefiting from your faith, whether they believe in Jesus or not. That's the kingdom. I just need to, let's break that down for just a really quick second.
As a believer, if you have submitted your life, surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, repented of your sins, and asked him to be your Lord and Savior, that makes you a believer, a believer in Jesus that he is who he says he is.
If you haven't done that, gimme a call, would you? Send me an email. All my contact information's on our website, iWork4Him.com. I work the number four him.com, because if you're not a believer, you're missing out on what life is all about. Okay, so the sentence says, as a believer, everything about you should be changing.
What does that mean? Well, when we get filled with the Holy Spirit, after we become a believer, he starts working on things all around and inside of us. Everything about us should be changing 'cause everything we had before was steeped in sin, and now we're filled with the spirit of Almighty God. And everything about us should be changing.
Everything inside of us should be changing - our attitudes, our actions, how we look at things , even how we see things. So as a believer, everything about you should be changing and everyone around you should be benefiting from your faith in Jesus, whether they believe in Jesus or not. That's the kingdom.
You see as a believer, everything inside of you is changing and therefore impacting everything you do and everywhere you go, wherever you go. And the people around you should be benefiting from the Holy Spirit of God vibrating inside of you, changing inside of you, and impacting how you do things. And everybody should be being blessed by the fact that you're walking into the room, whether they believe in Jesus or not.
They don't need to believe in Jesus to be blessed by the spirit of God living inside of you. That's the significance of all of this. As a believer, everything about you should be changing. Everyone around you should be benefiting from your faith, whether they believe in Jesus or not. That's the kingdom.
When Jesus said, " thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Jesus wanted the kingdom to come here, and that kingdom lives inside each one of us. And if you look at all the believers around the world, and there's a couple of billion, if every one of those believers understood this one simple truth, that everybody should be benefiting from our faith in Jesus, whether the people around us believe it or not, all of a sudden all we have to do is influence another six people.
All we have to do is live out our faith in front of another six people and be a blessing through everything we do. How we collect our garbage, how we wash our cars, how we do our work, how we drive our cars, how we do our grocery shopping, whatever it may be, how we do our volunteer work, how we cook and clean our dishes, how we clean our house, everything we do should be a blessing to everybody around us. That's the kingdom of God coming to earth.
In James, James is a brother of Jesus, he wrote a book in the Bible, he was also the leader of the church in Jerusalem after Jesus rose from the dead, and he said in James chapter two verses 14 through 20, "what good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith, but you don't show up by your actions?" And he goes on to say a lot of things, but he ends in verse 20, "how foolish! Can't you see that faith without good deeds is useless?"
And that's the point of what God's laid on my heart. As a believer, everything about you should be changing and everyone around you should be benefiting from your faith, whether they believe in Jesus or not. That's the kingdom. Let that sink in for just a second. If people around you aren't being blessed by your faith, then something inside you needs to continue to change. Look to see are people benefiting from you being a follower of Jesus?
Wherever you go, whatever you do, and wherever you are, everybody around you be benefiting from your faith in Jesus, whether they believe in him or not. You've been listening to iWork4Him with your host, Jim Brangenberg. I'm a Christ follower, and my workplace, it's my mission field, but ultimately iWork4Him.
