12/24/25 - 2126: iWork4Him's 'Night Before Christmas'
An iWork4Him Nation Christmas Poem by Jim Brangenberg
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the workplace
Not a person was working, Celebration filling the air space.
The reports were all done, finished for the year
All in hopes that a week of vacation was near.
The projects completed all wrapped up and snug,
Preparing to leave work, got some crumbs on the rug.
Christmas season brings great conversations at work.
Real life becomes realer as the holidays often bring hurt.
Swapping of presents, and drinking of eggnog,
Hoping for a Christmas bonus for the year’s long work slog.
Thought my life was destined for ministry, found out my workplace was more of my destiny,
Full of great people I work with each day
Needing some love, and a point to the Way.
Learned to pray for my coworkers, bosses, and employees all during the day.
Found out the real change came to me and changing my way.
Learned to help out when others were too busy.
Saw that my effort brought a smile instead of a hizzy.
This year, brought work friends into my home to feel God’s love,
Best way to introduce Him in a way that models kids’ gloves.
Working with excellence creates a great platform,
For listening to someone hurting makes them feel warm.
I’m in full-time ministry – my workplace, my destination,
Mission field of lost and hopeless looking for truth among the frustration.
The new year will bring more ministry opportunities at work.
What a blessing to be paid fulfilling my calling – quite a perk!
So, as the stockings are hung, you sit down in your chair,
You realize instead of St Nicholas, God chose to put YOU there.
Merry Christmas from iWork4Him!
