Earlier this week, Martha and I got to talk to Oscar and Denise Menendez from Comprehensive Dental Care in Palm Harbor, Florida about their dentist practice. I love the fact that Oscar prays over his patients for wisdom in helping them with their dental needs.

Martha and I have had the privilege of interviewing people in 26 states this year. It was so refreshing to see and hear the stories of how God is working in the lives of local folks living out their faith in their work.

Our temperature swings in the Spirit. Some days we are really hot and some days we are really cold, but most of the time we are kind of tepid (lukewarm). What can we do to avoid the doldrum?

Christ-followers are living out our faith wherever they go – especially to work. The Workplace is the greatest mission field of the world. Do you accept the calling on you to bring Jesus to work with you?

Jesus called all of us to make disciples. In order to make disciples, we just have to do what Jesus did. Discipleship is natural when you are obediently following Jesus.

As the owner or employee, our workplace performance is a direct reflection on God. I believe as a Christ Follower, it’s my responsibility to be the best, brightest, most honest, hardest working employee in my position within the company/organization.

We never know the moment that someone will ask us about our faith and our conviction that Jesus is our Lord.  Be ready to share how Jesus intersected your story and changed your life.

Jesus loved people openly, even those who would appear to be enemies.  Jesus was approachable and a friend.  Each of us can develop that kind of relationships in our workplace. 

One of the greatest ways Jesus touched the hearts of those he came in contact with…He showed them that he cared.  Lightening the load of a co-worker can soften a heart to one day be open to the message of the Gospel. 

Do you pay attention to the people you work with?  Enough to realize when they have something rough going on in their lives? That’s the time we get an opportunity to show that we care.
