IRMA - The After Effects

You may be one of the blessed ones in the US or another part of the world that has not been effected by a natural or man-made disaster recently. There have been fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons,  terrorist attacks, missile launches, riots,  and so much more. But Wait – There is Good News.

This world will one day pass away and a new one will take its place.

There will be no more crying and no more pain in this new world. Do you believe it? Do you believe it enough to tell those you love?  We have an unprecedented opportunity to speak truth to those around us at home, our workplace, and our community.

As Martha and I toured the Ark Encounter last week – we were reminded that the Ark was a massive rescue plan for ALL OF US.  If not for Noah’s obedience, we would not be here.  Noah, his wife, and their three sons and wives were obedient and built the massive Ark God instructed them to build.  It preserved humans through Noah’s family and two of each kind of animal from the earth.   The door to the ark was closed by God and opened by God – just as Jesus is the door to a life filled with forgiveness, love, and eternal peace. Have you told anyone recently of the amazing work He (Jesus) has done in you?

Facing potential catastrophic destruction last week from Irma made Martha and I refocus our lives and realize that none of our stuff mattered. We could start all over again accumulating stuff but none of that will matter either. The lives of those we touch – they matter to God and they are looking for answers to their questions. They are looking for love in all the wrong places – show them the right place today.

Be Jesus to someone.

John 14:6New Living Translation (NLT)

6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
