Where There is Faith, There is No Fear
09-24-21 - New Podcast Episode Alert2.png

Skip Stanton, the owner of Aqua Plumbing and Air, has found great peace amid COVID-19 because of one simple thing: his faith. As the leader of over 150 employees and thousands of customers, Skip knows that the real enemy of peace during uncertain times is fear of the future. And boy, are there a lot of people dealing with fear in today’s world and marketplace! Tune in to hear how Skip uses transparent leadership, communication, and prayer to minister to his employees in the midst of a global pandemic.

One of Skip’s undeniable talents is communication. Even before 2020 hit, he firmly believed that communicating openly and having a transparent leadership style led to a culture of trust in his business. And it has held true with the employees of Aqua. Don’t get us wrong, it’s been a tough season for everyone, and his staff has been affected, but Skip has worked hard to push back the spirit of fear in favor of one of faith.

How you may ask?

Well, Skip believes that as a follower of Christ and as the leader of a company, he has the opportunity to come to work each day as a beacon of peace to those around him. To be sure he is in the right head and heart space, he spends his mornings in prayer, is involved in his local church, and attends a local C12 group that gives him training and support in being a strong Christian Business Leader. And although Skip would love to minister to all 180 of his employees individually, he knows that that isn’t exactly feasible, so he has an on-staff chaplain to help minister to them and their families.

Remember, where there is faith, there is NO FEAR!

Walking With The Lord In Times Of Isolation
03-26-21 - New Podcast Episode Alert2.png

Its been a year. A year since the Covid-19 Lockdowns hit. A year since almost Normal got lost in a panic to keep millions from dying around the world. Covid has impacted everything. EVERYTHING.  Shopping, driving, socializing, church, family, school, traffic, work. A year ago, the dream for some was to work from home. Today, the nightmare for some is to work from home another day.  Isolation has led to suicide/depression/lonlieness the likes of which our world has never known.  So where does the Body of Christ at work fit into all of this.  How does our faith impact our work when our work is intertwined with schooling and other homebound complications?  Throw into that mix a week of temperatures that broke a ton of modern low temperature records where our home, which has been our safe haven, has now been destroyed by broken water pipes and flooding. The world is in chaos and peace is hard to find. Where does God fit into all these questions? Lets ask Tony Dale. Founder of Sedera Health and The Karis Group out of Austin Texas. Tony has a unique perspective to share with us today.

Tony and Felicity Dale live in Texas.  Texas had a rough time recently with all of the unusually cold weather.  We asked Tony to talk about the adversity and the challenges from Covid-19 and the Deep Freeze on them personally and his companies.  After explaining that he had run out of gas to heat his home and cook, lots of cancelled meetings, etc. he truly felt blessed.  When asked to explain, he sweetly said well Felicity and I have spent a lot of time together this past year and let’s just say – “cold weather leads to warm fellowship!”.  Now there’s a great perspective for us all to consider.  Seriously, Tony acknowledged that many people have had worse conditions than they did, but he knows that the kinds of issues they experienced are far less severe than most of the world.

Tony’s company has experienced a 50% increase in size this past year.  In fact, he said many new team members have never even seen the office space for the company as they were onboarded virtually.  He acknowledged that his team has determined to not let anyone be left out.

Isolation has become a real problem around the globe during the pandemic.  Tony reminded us that Jesus asked God to help him only do what the Father asked of him.  We are to let every part of our life be led by Him.

Jeremiah spent time in the well.  Joseph spent time in prison.  We can make Godly use of our time.  The truth is, even this interview is church.  We are having church when 2-3 gather in His name.  Tony has a new book that will be released this year, instead of what is wrong with health care, he takes the opposite approach.  Stay tuned for more as we get closer to the release of that book.  As always, we are grateful for time with Tony Dale and appreciate his insight for our lives.

All Good Things Must Come To An End – 2020 Too
12-30-20 - New Podcast Episode Alert.png

Is there ever such a thing as a bad year? Will 2020 go down in history as one we all want to forget? Does God just sometimes get it wrong? 2020 was a year, the beginning of another decade and the 20th anniversary of a new century but was it all bad? Notably it was horrible for those who have been sick from Covid or impacted by joblessness by industries being shut down from governments but when God gives us lemons, do we make lemonade or just chuck it at someone. This year most of us just wanted to chuck it at someone. Martha and I end this year with the final iWork4Him podcast of the year celebrating, contemplating and casting a vision for 2021 – a year of promise.

How To Activate Millions of Christ Followers Who Go To Work Every Day & Are Retired – An iWork4Him Group Discussion
12-23-20 - Podcast Image 180 x 180.png

There are over 150 million people in the workforce today, 36% of them identifying themselves as born again believers which means there are 55 million believers at work. If research is accurate 3.3 million believers now connect their faith and their work. That leaves almost 52 Million believers who have yet to be activated in all areas of their faith life. 52 million Jesus followers who think like I did that in order to be in ministry they need to quit their job and work for a church or a Christian nonprofit ministry. How can we activate these fully funded missionaries? How can we take advantage of the church being extricated from its buildings because of Coronavirus? How can we, the church, bring healing to our broken land? Tonight we will tell you a bit of our story, a bit of the lay of the land in the faith and work movement and finally some practical tactical, factual and biblical perspectives on how to activate the 55 million Christ Followers who go to work every day and the 30 million of them who are retired. There might be some things we say tonight that offend your traditions and challenge your thinking but know this, our hearts are bound in Jesus. Forgive our boldness if it helps mobilize a nation of workplace believers to recognize the call on their lives so they can say iWork4Him.

Small Church Explosion
08-11-20 Canva Podcast Image.png

It’s been 4 months now. Across the country, church buildings have been closed and even when limited gatherings have been allowed, singing has been forbidden. In Nevada, it is okay to have the casino open, but churches remain closed. Is this the work of the enemy or has it been allowed by an almighty God? This same God that allowed the death of Stephen to scatter his church across the Roman Empire. This same God may have allowed this virus and restrictions to scatter the church across communities for them to see the significance of their ministry in their own neighborhood. Across the country Christians have been set loose to do the ministry that Jesus called them too almost 2000 years ago. In essence, small is big and we are unleashing the power of intentionally small churches because that is what the law will allow. You may be asking what does this have to do with iWork4Him, EVERYTHING.  The body of Christ has already been scattered across workplaces in America for centuries, it is only now that we are realizing the significance of this scattering. We are all called to our work and our homes to be a light to fight the darkness. We’re talking with Tony and Felicity Dale, experts in the small church movement who have seen it transform London in the 70’s and 80’s and are hoping this explosion of small churches in America will transform our great country.
