Ministry/Business: Sacred Work

 YouTube Video Interview

Giving our best is easiest when we have confidence in the value of our contribution. Yet too many Christian working women perceive their work in the marketplace as less valuable than those in ministry or missions. Peggy Bodde wrestled with seeing the value of her work until God showed her that what He had commissioned her to do was essential to the Kingdom of Heaven. God used a painful situation to help her see that she was putting her successful corporate career above her relationship with Him. So, eight years ago, she took a step of faith and started her own business as a full-time writer for educational publishers, researching and writing textbooks. She also writes content to equip and support Christian working women.

Peggy once struggled with her roles as a single mom and a businesswoman, feeling inadequate all around. She now gains ongoing encouragement from the Holy Spirit, God’s Word, and a community of professional Christian women. She integrates her faith and work in three main ways: show excellence, broker hope, love fully. She also proactively equips others through a private LinkedIn group, through the content she writes, and by mentoring other Christian women, so they see the value of their work in God’s eyes. She has come to realize that when we are obedient, God will use all of our experiences in ways we cannot imagine. God doesn’t waste anything.
